Sponsorships & Social Memberships

Sponsorships & Social Memberships

We seek your support to provide the Lake Wendouree Football Netball Club with the opportunity to compete.

Our Club consists of 17 competing football teams (approx. 80 young men, 240 boys, 20 women and 60 youth girls in 2019 and 14 competing netball teams (60 Seniors & 80 Juniors)

Lake Wendouree Football Netball Club is 24 years old, and during our journey we have achieved great success in netball, juniors and in 2010 the ultimate football success with a senior football flag. We are committed to being a family club that is inclusive.

The club is working hard to build and foster our “own” but in the current environment with several BFL clubs being the beneficiaries of gambling revenue, means that for the smaller family clubs to survive and compete, we need to find additional revenue streams.

To put it simply, more money means greater competitiveness.

We have put together a number of different membership categories, and ask all our players, parents, supporters, ex players, be them Wendouree, YCW or Lakers to support “YOUR” team.

LAKE WENDOUREE FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB
ONE CLUB PLAYER POLICY

Congratulations on choosing the Lake Wendouree Football Netball Club (Lakers) for your son or daughter to represent.

As part of your registration, we would like to advise you of a new policy adopted by the Junior Committee that has been set to build on our club values, strength and commitment to the development of each and every child.

At Lakers, we believe in a “One Club” policy. When your child is selected or has chosen to play for this club, it comes with certain commitments. It comes with commitment to their team mates, the club and themselves.

Therefore, the Committee have implemented the following to honour these commitments:

  • Junior footballers will not be granted in season game permits to play at any CHFNL or other local league club. Players who are seeking a permanent clearance will be decided upon in the appropriate manner;

  • Junior football and netball players who board at school in Ballarat and return to their home towns over holidays or on byes can apply for a game clearance to play at their local club only;

  • Junior Netballers will no longer be permitted to play junior or senior netball at another Football Netball club in any other Football/Netball league;

  • Junior Netballers will be allowed to play the Llanberris competition, as this is independent of league competitions;

There are no exemptions to the policies listed above.

These policies have been designed to ensure the viability of Football and Netball programs at all levels and whilst some may be disappointed regarding their implementation, the Committee has the overall interest of the whole club as a priority over those of an individual.

We have listened to all key stakeholders and believe that this is the best way forward for the Lake Wendouree Football Netball Club.

Junior Committee
Lake Wendouree Football Netball
